Homemaker Schools began in 1950 traveling all over the U.S.A., presenting food recipes and homemaker tips on stages in cities and small towns. In the spring of 1996, the cooking school began an association with Taste of Home magazine, the world's most popular cooking magazine with over 5 million subscribers. Because of this partnership, there was a renewed interest and universal popularity of this program. In appreciation, the name was changed to Taste of Home Cooking School. Over 260 schools all over the U.S.A. are being planned for the 2008 season. Metro Group, Inc. has been sponsoring these cooking and trade shows since 1991. |
